The year ends great for ecop. We were able to receive no less than three high-profile awards. Second place at the Innovation Award of Upper Austria led to ecop being one of only five submitting companies from Upper Austria to be awarded the State Prize Innovation 2019. Meanwhile, it is also known that ecop is one of the three nominees for the VERENA special prize.
This was followed by the award of the State Prize for Environmental and Energy Technology in the category Environment, Climate and Energy. The award ceremony is a joint event run by two ministries (BMNT and BMVIT) and the environmental and energy technology industry, which highlights the pioneering achievements and innovations of this industry and brings them to the forefront. It is regarded as a showcase of the industry and represents the highest award in Austria in the environmental technology sector.
And finally, ecop won “The Process Award” category of the European Commission’s European Environmental Prize. It honors companies for which innovation, competitiveness and outstanding environmental performance are no contradiction. There were 161 applications from 19 European countries. All submitting companies had already received an environmental award in their country. Thus, the level of participants was very high. ecop was the only company from Austria to succeed because the Rotation Heat Pump has the potential to become a real game changer in environmental technology.
